Payment Thresholds
The basics:
- The supplier MUST have more than one payment type enabled to set them up with payment thresholds
- You can set up multiple thresholds with the same Payment type on each supplier
- Using Payment thresholds via PIF transactions:
- The “Account Type” on the PIF must be set to “TRS” for more information about our PIF please visit: https://developer.cpxchange.com/docs/cpx-pif-specs
- The supplier must have payment thresholds already setup on their record in CPX
- Using Payment Thresholds via Single Payment:
- “Payment Thresholds” must be selected as the account type
- If the supplier does not have payment thresholds setup it will not be an option for the user to select on the single payment modal screen
Setting up thresholds on a supplier:
- Enable multiple payment types for a supplier in the payment information section
- Enable the Payment thresholds toggle at the bottom of the payment information section
- Set the default payment threshold (you will not have the ability to change the ‘amount’ on the first threshold)
- Set up any other thresholds you would like by clicking the + icon then set an amount and a payment type for each
- Start submitting TRS transactions via PIF or quick pay!
Example:
Thresholds setup on the Supplier:
- If the payment is ≥ 0 use VCN Email (SIP)
- If the payment is ≥ 8,000 use CPX ACH
- If the payment is ≥ 14,500 use VCN Email (SIP)
- If the payment is ≥ 15,000 use Check Issuing
Payments & their outcomes:
- A payment for $5,592.00 will be a VCN Email (SIP) transaction
- A payment for $8,001.00 will be a CPX ACH transaction
- A payment for $14,786.00 will be a VCN Email (SIP) transaction
- A payment for $28,256.00 will be a Check transaction
